Does the whip that the jockey's use on the horses, does it have a bit of barb wire on the end of it?

  1. OMG no it doesn't...it is illegal to do that in horse racing...the jockey could loose his or her license and anyone else involved...there not cruel to the horses although anyone who doesn't know the sport might think that.


  2. No there is no barb wire. It would hurt them too much. The whip consists of a "stick" that on the end the jockey holds there is a rubber-like material and on the other end it it is most like going to be a loose leater material that has other pieces of leather that stick out, so when you whip the horse, its the leather and the pieces around it. It is not cruel, the majority of all race horse love to run, its what they were born to do.

  3. Of course the jocky does not have any barb wire on the end of his crop. I have never heard of such a thing in this day and age.
