That helps and also playing the wii on vertical position also helps alot too. Also every now and then vacuum the holes where is moving in an out you could also have lots of dust.

The wii doesn't really have a burning out problem. These fans were made so that you could play your system in longer sessions without taking a risk. Personally I don't believe anyone needs one of these.

There's a Wii burning out problem? That's news to me.

Unless your gaming room has seriously low airflow and/or you can't stand the idea of taking your console out of the cabinet to play it, you shouldn't need a fan.
