You can be electrocuted to death, but you can

also be electrocuted and survive from it.  

You might be thinking of "execution":

when someone is given the death penalty

because of some very serious misdeed,

and then put to death - killed.

You can die depending on the amount of electricity.  My neighbor is an electrician.  He was hot-wiring and his sweaty hand slipped off the rubber hand grips of the pliers.  He got electrocuted.  It burned his finger off and parts of other fingers.  He did not die.  He only lost one finger.  Farmers use electric fences to keep there animals in the pasture.  I've touched them many times.  It just stings.  Electrocution does not always kill.
