Like the things they build up, or anything like that? I hear this word a lot, in a documentary I am watching about snowboarding.

  1. Progression basically means pushing the sport to new levels.

For example, if someone were to throw a new trick, it would be considered progressionm also if someone goes insanely huge it is also considered progression.

In the Olympics, when Kelly Clarke went way bigger than the rest of the girls, she progressed the sport for women.

Travis Rice is always trying new c**p, and is one of the most progressive riders right now.

EDIT: Progression can also refer to how you are improving, such as "I haven't progressed at all this season," but most the time in documentaries, they will be refering to the progression of the sport.

  2. In snowboarding progression means learning new tricks for example at good park mountians Burton has a park for beginner snowboarders called the Burton Progession park and it helps you feel more confident with rails and jumps
