  2. When the history of Africa is written!Robert Mugabe will rank alongside Idi Amin Dada for the brutality and supression of his people! When it come to the brutalising and supression of a people in Africa or to be more precise; Zimbabwe! The World turns it's back! Why?The perpetrator is Black!Surely Zimbabweans bleed like Europeans,They feel pain like Europeans! So why is Europe turning it's back on Zimbabwe!I know Germany and France do not allow their troops after dark in a conflict zone! But surely something must be done now!It is a choice now! One  homicidal meglomanic against millions of fellow starving Zimbabweans!I know where my vote goes!?

  3. Some people say that Zimbabwe is "not our problem." Well it is EVERYONE's problem. Allowing a North-Korean leaning dictator to flourish whilst his country goes into free fall is a crime against humanity.

If the West (that's Bush and Brown) are truely dedicated to democracy, then a military intervention must be an option. Okay, invading a country to topple a dictator does have it's problems (sic), but in this case the West must not be seen to be doing nothing.

Natural resources or not, Zimbabwe is a test. A test our leaders are failing.

  4. Does Zimbabwe have oil?  Why bother?

    It's not our problem, it's Africa's problem.

Most African leaders see Mugabe as some kind of hero who kicked the British out of Rhodesia and who then renamed the country Zimbabwe.

Everything that followed was just a continuing downward spiral of despair - farms destroyed, businesses destroyed, people murdered by the thousands.  In fact Mugabe had already killed about 22,000 people in Zimbo before he became president thereof.

The c**p of it all is that Mugabe was actually put into power by the British who wanted to get rid of Ian Smith - at almost any cost, so it seems to me.

Now look at it.  One big pile of stinking c**p.

  5. However horrific Mugabe and his regime are, the fact remains that African countries wanted independence and Britain and other countries gave in to them.  Ever since Independence one African country after another has either engaged in civil war or shown itself incapable of providingits peoples with democratic government and any sort of quality of life.

Nobody comes out of this well, and both ex colonialists and Africans should hang their heads in shame.  As for those who criticise this country for its colonial past, they should take a look at the track records of Belgium, Holland and France.

Whilst Mugabe is supported by other African leaders (particularly South Africa) the shame of Zimbabwe is the shame of Africa as a whole.

Our troops are already horrendously overstretched:  we cannot expect more of them.

The answer lies with other African leaders now.

  6. Nope.

Zimbabwe wanted Britain and their influence out of their country.

They rejoiced when white rule was kicked out.

They even changed the name of the country to suit themselves.

So whyever should the UK be pulled into this mess??

Zimbabwe have what they voted for.. ie. Robert Mugabe and an end to Britishness.

Now they got it....let them live with it..!!

  7. I feel sorry for the poor people but they wanted black rule and they got it.   Should have stuck with the British - at least they were working then and reasonably prosperous.   Just shows what happens when you leave them to their own devices.

  8. Mugabe is one person thats has stood against the whites bullying  other people. ............VIVA MUGABE...........

  9. Yes we do, and yes he has.

And he can stop accusing Britain of being the root of the problems he has caused by himself well.

  10. Hello,

(ANS) Someone should do humanity a favor and bump Mr.Mugabee off !!

**One Islamic Suicide bomber would do the job nicely.

**No! but seriously the problem of Mr.Mugabee desperately clinging to power at all cost is both utterly horrific and shameful. He is a total despot and has caused unbelievable suffering to the innocent people of Zimbabwe, he (one man) has totally wrecked and destroyed an entire country. Even after Mr.Mugabee has gone its going to take literally decades to undo the depth of the damage caused by his leadership.

Remember Mr.Mugabee has been in power for nearly 30 years now but the damage has been done over the last 10 years mainly.

**Sadly, I don't know what it is about African nations but it seems to throw up the conditions for despots & dictators on a frequent basis?

My heart goes out to the innocent people of zimbabwe !!

    Ivan.

  11. If Britain and the western powers cannot run their own country's to their peoples satisfaction,

what ? makes them think the can tell others, even those with evil despots at their heads what to do,

we seem to continually stick our snouts in the trough's of  the oil rich, but only oink at those that a sniper might settle.

  12. Of course they should, the problem is that the toothless United Nations organisation don't want to be called racists if they intervene.
