Does the younger generation know about Mickey Mouse and all those other Disney Characters?

because it seems to me that all of the Disney characters

are being shut out now. now i can see a little girl at Disney

World screaming because a giant mouse is trying to hug

her. thats just horrible because theyre are what Disney is

all about. and Disney also put all the good movies in the

Disney Vault. now younger generations will never know

about these great movies. =\

Umm... I don't know about the really young people, but I still remember when Disney used to mean Mickey and Minnie and Donald and Goofy and Daisy and Pluto! Now it means Hannah Montana and Jonas Brothers and Selena Gomez (who is she anyways?!) and all this awful stuff.

I've actually seen a 6 year old throw a fit at the supermarket because her mum wouldn't let her get an issue of Rolling Stone with the Jonas Brothers on it (the magazine promising "hot" Pictures inside)

This kid wanted a magazine (marketed towards the over 20 crowd, I'm certain) just because these teeny-boppers are featured on the cover. Umm... I thought this magazine was about ROCK?!!? Not an over-commercialised band whose main fanbase is the under 14 crowd!!

Bring back Mickey!!

Disney CHANNEL has always made different movies than the old cartoons? Look back years from now before Jonas and Miley there has never been a movie like Cinderella, Little Mermaid or whatever. Or any Disney Channel Original Movie including Mickey Mouse. They still make the real Disney Movies apart from the Channel. Just turn it off if it's such a huge problems. And younger generations aren't going to miss out on anything, the good old disney movies are always going to be just as popular.

Really, I hate Disney now. Disney used to be awesome when I was younger.

While it's true that many younger generations didn't live off of it like we did, they are still exceptionally worshipped today. We grew up on this stuff, and so the parents pass down THEIR love of disney movies as children onto THEIR children. Besides, you can still get the disney movies that're in the vault on eBAY. And a lot of people still have the VHS movies from when they were younger, or grandparents purchase these movies for their grandkids to keep at their house like my grandma always did/has. It's all a matter of how important disney is to the adults in the family because they're the main way these children will be "Disney-educated."

Also, they periodically are releasing the vaulted disney movies into DVDs and blu-rays. Hope this helps! :D

im 16 and i absolutely love the classic disney movies, the new disney is horrible just like the new nick and nick jr. i liked it better when cartoons were cartoons like doug and stuff and my favorite disney movie is fox and the hound =)
