Does the zucchini grow out of the flower or behind them?

  1. Behind. There will be a little tiny zucchinni that will get bigger and bigger and the yellow flower will wither away. You can eat the flowers (there is a delicious soup a friend of mine makes) so if you have heaps of flowers it is worth experimenting with them (you won't get a fruit if you pick the flower off but sometimes you can have too many zucchinnis right?)


  2. You'll have a flower and then the zucchini.  Out of the flower.

  3. Both above are correct.  The zucchini comes out of the back of the flower.

    You can sometimes see these flowers still hanging onto the end of the zucchini after it gets bigger.
