The joy of acting is entertaining the audience, yes, but the great power and pleasure of Theatre for the actor is taking your experiences and shaping how you portray another person...and sometimes how that person affects you.

What a privilege, and yet a duty, to be able to step into someone, or something else's shoes and portray their lives. However, actors owe their characters the courtesy of properly showing their lives to the audience...
