Question:

Does this Ebay buyer sound suspicious to you?

I sold an item on ebay to someone in Canada. Their address on ebay was a Canadian address, so I sent invoice with additional shipping charge. Then I went in to send them another the next day and it was a U.S. address. They told me that is their U.S. address where they want it shipped to and that it is the one listed and confirmed in Paypal, so I send them an invoice with cheaper shipping and they paid.

Then I go to print the label and see Paypal has the Canadian address and their ebay address is changed back to the Canadian address again. I contacted the buyer telling them (again) that I only ship to Paypal confirmed address, so they can either pay additional shipping to the Canadian address or add their shipping address to Paypal before I will ship.

Their response was that they cannot get into Paypal to change the address, and they will pay the additional shipping. That just sounds very strange, like they are using someone else's ebay acct. Now I'm not even sure about sending it to the Canadian (confirmed) address!

Does this sound odd to anyone else?

  1. i would be super careful when dealing with paypal/ebay. there are several people out there running scams, using someone else's paypal address and verfying there account this way but asking you to ship to there real address leaving the person whose paypal address they scam with the bill. Be very careful I would tell them one more time that u would only ship to their paypal address and if u still are suspicious just end the transaction and report the issue to ebay and paypal and then put ur item back up on ebay

  2. yes it does sound odd.. just dont sell nuthing to them k?
