We've heard this meaningless "sound-bite" ever since Sir Robert Peel invented the Friggin' Police Force!

Does Labour think that we're all total idiots?

  1. Police presence does reduce crime. We are short staffed where I'm at.

  2. http://www.rewards1.com/index.php?referr...

Earn points by doing surveys and spend them on free prizes like games and more. Try it out, it's free and easy.

  3. Its the usual promises...... that never get delivered.

How many promises did the Labour government make to get in power in the first place?? They slated the Conservatives but what have they done??

They opened our borders to everyone and anyone that wanted a free meal ticket. Now we have every city in the UK swamped with gangs made up mostly of immigrants. They happily shoot and stab each other whilst squabbling over the supply of drugs. Their bloody human rights are more important than ours, or so it seems!!!!

When will this government realise what they have done and when will they deliver. Lets not forget they are safe in their million pound houses with state of the art security!!!

  4. I think they are hoping for some kind of miracle that all the crime will disappear. I know I am waiting for a miracle, for Gordon Brown and his cronies to disappear.

  5. I see the British government is using street crime to distract you folks over there too.

Anyone who believes the crime rates are higher today, than they were a hundred years ago, is an idiot.

  6. Not sure about England, but here in the US the driving factor in reducing crime isn't more officers it is less criminals.

Putting repeat offenders in prison for  long sentences is the only sure way to reduce crime.

I also notice that over the past 15 years in the UK, "more bobbies" actaully means less actual street cops and more "community service officers" (or whatever they're real name is)...bait and swicth, anyone

  7. You do know that it is IMPOSSIBLE for the Goverment to tell the truth,..right?

  8. How they gonna recruit any new ones according to them we must be all criminals anyway!

  9. Have you noticed when it gets near to a General Election!Labour governments tend to keep the police one way or another in the spotlight! Along with the ethnic minorities! We all know what it is all about! Why ?We have heard the same old story that many times it needs carbon dating! It is to keep the publics attention away from the criminal perfomance of Gordon Brown!!To think I was a Labour voter for nearly 50years!I certainly have been 'took in'!!

  10. Is there any point putting more bobbies on the beat, if I was a bobbie I'd keep well out of the way of a lot of these dangerous thugs patroling our streets. What the government need is the special forces looking after our towns and cities.

  11. What difference will that make. When they do catch the criminals, half of them never get to court, and those that do are let off with a smack on the hand. Years ago, the British justice system was the envy of the world, but successive governments have turned into a joke, the criminal now has more rights than the victim, and I think that the public at large are getting mighy pissed off.

  12. As an American, I would agree with you that we can't solve problems by putting more police on the streets.  This may be an effective proscription on an interim basis, but only when combined with pro-active public policy solutions designed to reduce crime and increase educational and employment possibilities.

  13. I got a better idea, why don't we just send you over there to negotiate with the terrorist, and if you don't come back we will still support your ideas! we will not send bobbies to help you.

  14. They are like any incompetent government they are clinging in the the hope of a miracle. In the meantime we suffer from false statistics and their dreams. And yes they do think we are fools. We voted them in as a population. I think that proves that either we are fools or we have suffered a mass lack of concentration. In other words we lost the plot

  15. Here's something original for you guys:  GUNS!

An armed cop is worth 3 un-armed cops!

  16. I agree

  17. Billy, his twin brother Bo££ocks, and, their best mate, Ollox, appear to be (just like "Lottie") "at it again!" Something's got to give.
