Question:

Does this Rule For Drivers License Test Apply?...

My uncle was at his drivers license test and the tester specified that the only reason he failed was because he did not signal his turn signal when backing out.

I've never heard of that as a rule, I've never seen anyone do that!!!! So can anyone please help me [my uncle] out???

  1. i'd go to a different testing office.

  2. Signalling a turn while reversing?  The only time I normally signal while reversing is then I am backing into a spot, parallel parking!  I don't understand this one, there is no reverse turn signal, there is a back-up light, but that goes on automatically.

What kind of spot was he backing out of that required the turn signal?  A regular front-in spot like they have at the supermarket parking lot?  You signal turning INTO the spot, not backing our.

Mind you I have only been driving 43 years, over 1 1/2 million miles, have trained drivers, every one of whom passed the licence test the first time, what would I know?  LOLOL!!!
