Yes, it does apply to them too.  But I'd like to say that men react differently to being scorned. A woman scorned tends to be like a raging bull charging at every possible object and at the same time incessantly chanting just about every expletive in her vocabulary.  That's just the icing.  In her mind, she's also plotting the most devious revenge the likes of which no man has since the days of stale wine and wilted roses.  In most likelihood, she stops there (at the plotting stage; no follow through).

A man scorned would probably hit the bars, spill his guts out to a captive audience of strangers and wake up very sick the next morning in a seedy hotel with a bimbo.  He would repeat the process every night for about a month (okay, a week or two) until he's too zonked out to remember what the heck he's doing all these for.

No.  Women are scorned for life.  However, for most stable men, give them 6 months, they will forget and be with another woman and they will have put the past in the past.  It is women, that can not get past it.

Initially, the pain is worse for men.  But in the log run, the woman bears the pain. a man will have moved on.

Some men really couldn't take a girl's refusal, would haunt the girl, and despite court orders and police protection,   get to her and commit murder.

Depends on the mental and moral fortitude of the individual.  Men or women.

Lol it could! Women tend to hold grudges, and want to get back at people. But men are usually opposite, carefree, and forget about things like that. They get over it.

Surely this doesn't apply for all men and women, but usually thats the case.

Well to be like this because of a girl. Worth it?

I've a best friend who turned our friendship into nothing ( He scorned our friendship) because of his present girlfriend. Who wants to touch his girlfriend anyway. Till now, no one can understand why he become like that.

This applies to guys too. Some guys cannot get scorned. They will erupt into a ball of fire and try to burn up the life of everyone around them just to get even.
