  1. It's saying there's a possibility that this summer the ice will melt fully.  It will re-freeze in winter, but we've never not had year-round ice at the north pole, so we don't really know exactly what will happen.

    what this article is saying is that this summer the will melt in the north pole and they wont have snow for the summer anyway
