The media at least think that this is vox populi media...Whenever there is a disaster we hear a great deal about how difficult the press find it to get to the area in question and then are told that they managed to do it ahead of doctors and medical supplies and food.as if this deserves congratulations! They get in the way of the police, release information that can help criminals and make sure that every teenage lout in the world knows what the latest ways of terrorising the community are..they spread fear and encourage us to think badly of each other..and then complain that not enough is being done to improve matters generally!

Reporters stand outside schools where shootings have taken place and ask parents what they are thinking and how they feel whilst waiting to find out who has been injured or worse..and the media has become so competitive that it is better to print what they know to be a libel than to risk not having a loud headline! There is absolutely no need for politicians to lie anymore, other than to keep in practise, the newspapers will distort the facts for them and indeed, ignore important news in favour of telling us who may or may not have an eating disorder and telling us how they managed to find out that some celebrity no one cares much about is sleeping with some IT girl no one has heard of before.

The cartoon was not funny but it was an accurate portrayal of the modern journalist and his or her priorities..and the worst thing of all is that some people still buy newspapers and magazines!

I don't think it's particularly witty so even if it wanted to it couldn't. I hate that bloody whats-his-face and stimpy cartoon as a rule though.
