1) I don’t have any cheer experience except for recreational cheer. I participated in the Frost Cheer Club where I learned many chants and cheers, along with correct motion placement. Also, in my tumbling lessons, Coach Cooper, along with his daughter Taylor , worked with me on jumps, motions, and chants.
2) I’ve taken tumbling lessons with Coach Cooper, but I haven’t had any specific gymnastics experience.
3) I’ve taken ballet and tap classes for a couple years when I was younger.
4) I want to be a WHS cheerleader because I love tumbling, learning new jumps and stunts, showing school spirit, and be a leader at my school!
5) I don’t have a lot of experience, but I’ve been told that I have a strong stage presence and I am a very fast learner. I think my personality will bring a lot to the cheer program. I’m not the best cheerleader, but I’m very passionate and a very hard worker--when I want something, I set my mind to it and I never give up.
6) In all my free time, I will study and work on homework. I’m a very hard worker and I’m very concerned about my grades, so I won’t neglect my homework or studying. Schoolwork comes before cheerleading, but that doesn’t mean I won’t give me all at cheer practices. I’ll schedule my time so that I’ll study right when I get home so I can be focused for cheer practice and won’t have to stay up all night to study so I can be energized for school the next day.
7) As said before, I participated in the Cheer Club at Frost where I learned a lot, I took private tumbling lessons this summer from Coach Cooper which prepared me for tryouts, I’ve been to the gym almost every morning this summer to build muscles for stunting, and I worked with my cousin who is captain of her varsity squad. My cousin also helped prepare me for tryouts by teaching me motions and helping me improve my jump height.
