Question:

Does this correction of my haiku form still fit within the hurricane I call life?

I made a mistake in my previous haiku in the traditional form of writing it. This is my second attempt. I deleted the first because I didn't want to confuse anyone further. This haiku is directed toward individuals and is a simple statement about saving memories, it's not a political statement or related to the news regarding the current hurricane.

  1. It can be a Ku

    whether low or Hai,

    don't let it worry you

    go ahead and try.

  2. I love both. The other one could be called a kuhai. There you go a new form, lol

  3. Just call it a Bobku. Here's a Jayku

    Ev'ry haiku sweet

    Pitter, patter little beat

    A form so complete

    Matters not the name

    Counting meter not to blame

    Love it, all the same!

    Easy when one knows

    Constant counting fingers, toes

    (Yes, I'm one of those)

Just get off your ...thumbs...and write

    Now...today...tonight!

    You KNOW you want to!

  4. Elaine says they are called Ameri-Ku`s. Ask her. She will help you out. She helps me.

  5. Of course the form is now perfect

the meaning flows more clearly, perhaps,

but I hate you felt the need to delete

the first still packed a punch!

    ma

  6. The above IS KU...the other could be considered a 'warped mind inverted haiku' (still giggling over that phrase).  I tend to write many warped mind inverted pieces...but they are enjoyable...if only to me.

Edit:  Oh, and I do like your controVERY.  Now that could start something interesting!
