In High school i voluntered to be a library assistant during nutrition and during certain class hours. I was a library assistant for almost a year with the duties of helping students find books, re-shelve books, check in and out books, file papers, send out late fees and manage the front desk.I want to use the librarian as a reference but she retired and i dont have a valid number

When i graduated i recieved a certificate of appreciation from the school and library and a insignia pin for my graduation cap.

Can i put this down as work experience?Do i use this as reference or not?

  1. errr yes and no.

  2. I use everything i got from my military training anything helps it shows you go above and beyond the standard and you are willing to work hard and learn new things. Use it! it wouldn't hurt

  3. YES.

  4. You can use it as a reference, get in touch with your high school - they may have a number or address for you.

You could write about it in your CV - as its volunteer work, which is always good.

If you want to become a  librarian, then it's good to write down as work experience. But don't write about it as experience if it's not relevant to what you want to do.
