I went back through my tree about my Irish blood (seeing as a whole line of people have been asking if there own Irish blood counts) and I found that both of my great grandparents on my grandfather's side were 1/4 Irish, so they would make my grandfather 1/4 right? Then my mom would be 1/8 and I would be 1/16 Irish plus the very very little Irish on my grandmother's side?

So then I would be 1/16 Irish(Plus what little I got from my grandmother's side and what amount is from my dad's side), right?

  1. your grandfather would be full irish (because you only know that your grandfather's parents were both irish), making your mother 1/2 irish, making you 1/4 irish + what you have from your grandmother

  2. You are 1/16 Irish. Congratulations! But what about the other 15 parts?

  3. You are correct.
