I jut bought a kenwood-12'' 4ohm single-voice-coil. 1200 watts and 400watt rms.

Does a Sony ZR Series 2/1-Channel Amplifier fit?

400 watts x 2 peak power

2 or 4 ohm operation

2/1-channel amp

  1. The RMS power would be a better indication of or not the amp will work well in your set up. If it is the amp that I'm thinking of ( http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Sony-ZR-S... ), You could really get better for your money. Look for a mono amp that is as close to your woofer's RMS power rating at 4 ohms and is also 1 ohm stable. That way you can potentially upgrade to more/ different woofers later without having to upgrade the amp as well.

That amp would potentially work with that sub, but that's it. If you wanted to add another sub, you'd need to upgrade the amp as well.
