  1. It depends. Do you brush hard? If you don't it might mean that your gums are sensitive. And if you have braces, you gums still might be sensitive

  2. some people gums are just really sensitive, so get a soft toothbrush. do you ever floss? sometimes when people dont floss enought that happens.

  3. maby u brush to hard.??

an dhow often do u brush .. i found that when i didnt brush my theath for like a week or two.. i no disgusting.. but ya anyways when i went to brush them again the bleed for a bit ..

and i could be that u just have thin veins

  4. Yes it is acually very normal. Most of the time however you may be brushing you teeth to hard. And try not to brush not near your gum as much.

  5. floss and use listerine anti bacterial. if it tingles it's working. will go away within a week.

  6. You need to start swishing with baking soda and warm water.  If that doesn't help, switch to hydrogen peroxide.  I'm telling you-- it will heal your gums.

I can't believe I'm going to say this, but don't listen to your dentist! Your gums should not be bleeding.  If he thinks this is normal, then he is crazy.

Besides the emotional upset of your seeing your gums bleed all the time, your heart could actually be affected-- often, problems with gums are directly related to the heart.  Do not poo-poo this.  My uncle had a heart attack after an oral deep cleaning that was later found to have been directly related.

I'm not trying to scare you, but use common sense and make sure you're in good shape all around.  If I were you, I'd ask your regular doctor to check out your ticker to be on the safe side!

  7. My dentist says it's because I have sensitive gums mabey you do too

  8. I don't know.

    Do you brish your teeth?

    Floss them?

    Daily?

  9. Relatively. You just need to take better care of your gums. They've gotten sensitive b/c you hadn't been brushing as much, and now you've really started to. I would floss more often and Listerine is great for keeping healthy gums. Also, get a softer brush and try not to brush as hard. Go easy on them. If you don't scrub and use floss and Listerine, you should see a great improvement soon.

It's nothing serious though/or something to worry about :D

  10. probably because you don't brush your teeth well enough (inculding the inner part of the teeth pointing to the tounge)

  11. brushing to hard and yes a lot of people have weak gums

  12. get a soft toothbrush and dont scrub to hard. you want to clean em not scrape the enamel off.

  13. Gingivitis..... floss more!!! It will stop. Mine did that

  14. try a soft toothbrush ... they have varying bristle hardness. It should say on the package.

  15. FLOSS, FLOSS, FLOSS!! You probably have gingivitis, or else you are brushing waaaay too hard! You may want to get a softer toothbrush, and some sensitive toothpaste.

  16. No, it is not 'fine' if your gums are bleeding, and your doctor was very wrong to tell you they are fine.  Go to an oral surgeon and get your gums looked at ... most of the time bleeding gums come from gingivitis, but you may have the worst gingivitis, called trench mouth, or there could be something else going on with your mouth.  I know ... I had trench mouth once after having caught mononucleosis ... my gums bled all the time, and my teeth and gums hurt ... the dentist gave me some stuff with hydrogen peroxide and other medicine in it to gargle for a week, and it went away ... so talk to a good oral surgeon, AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, before your mouth gets any worse!

  17. You need a referral to a gum expert, or a second opinion, everytime my gums bleed, I was told I was not brushing my teeth enough, ither there is some gum problem or you need another denist.

  18. my dentist actually said that your gums shuld bleed when you brush yo teeth cuz thats healthy.

my teeth dont always bleed when i brush so my dentist said i shuld brush my teeth more.

altho i did hear (on a commercial) that sum bleeding is bad.

i wuld talk to your dentist nxt time you have a visit.

but for now id say dont worry about it

    :)

  19. mine do that too.

    its completely normal.

just brush your teeth more gently.

  20. If you had your teeth cleaned and your dentist said your teeth are fine he probably means you have no excess amount of tarter build up around your gum-line.. which in turn would cause other problems like inflamed gums/gingivitus later on down the road. But if any tarter is left behind after a cleaning, it could cause bleeding.

It sounds like you may be brushing your teeth To hard. All you need is a soft bristle brush (not hard) and gently but firmly brush your teeth. Make sure you floss correctly, also. If you are not sure how, go back to the dentist and ask. This will also make your gums bleed.

Sometimes people need to take vitimin supplements. Lack of Vitimin K can cause teeth to bleed also. Next time you visit your family Doctor, I would mention the fact, if your gums are still bleeding.
