You talk to someone who looks like a normal, down to earth, fair supporter, and then you find out that they are a complete gloryhunting fake b*****d?

I work as a part time bartender so i get to meet a lot of people. One night a guy guy was watching the rugby on the big screen near the open bar and was ordering some drinks and we started talking about football(he was wearing a Chelsea jersey so i assumed he was a Chelsea supporter). We(well me anyway) started talking about great past players like Hasselbaink, Zola, Guilt etc and aside from Zola he had almost no idea what i was talking about and was only concerned about buying Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi. Note this was only 2 weeks ago....Then asked me who I thought would be the new manager of Chelsea.......

I was embarrassed to be even talking with him. But i'm currently living in Australia so i guessed it would be easier to find gloryhunters here, but has something like this ever happen to you?

  1. I was on a plane back from Moscow after the final and a guy in a Chelsea shirt asked me what the score was.I wanted to rip that shirt off of him and shove it down his throat until he choked to death.

  2. Lot of AFL people in Melbourne who claim they support the Storm, but they would be struggling to name more than 3 or 4 players and apart from Billy probably couldn't identify anyone, when Melbourne go off the boil they lose all interest, most have never been to a game and think watching 20mins of S.O.O. makes them League experts

  3. Not so much having met one, but I see plenty on TV & in news articles. I'm talking about 'celebs' who love to get on a fashionable bandwagon & claim someone or something as their very favourite team or player. You just know they have no idea in h**l about it, but they have to look & sound 'clued up'.First it was the Swans, then The Socceroos, The Rabbitoes for a (very) short time & God knows what next. They give me a giant pain.

  4. Yep..lol. There is a young girl in my daughters team who has CRonaldo's boots and jersey etc etc..I was talking to her about United last year before the CL Final and she had no idea we were even in it..OMFG..totally made me shake my head..grrhh..Ronaldo fangurls :)
