  1. Maybe, you should contact the parents

and notify them immediately if he hasn't

been diagnosed. If the parents did know and

didn't tell you (if you work with him, or something),

than you should really have a little chat about it,

so you know what to do if he ever goes out of

    control in your hands.

  2. It doest really mean he has something wrong with him. My brother was like that when he was about 2 and a half but grew out of it just before his 4th birthday. Everyone was worried that he had autism and mum even took him to doctors to see if they could help. If you are worried then your best bet is to take him to a doctor and that may give you the answer you need but don't get to worked up about it because he may just be taking his time like many other kids. My brother is now five and top of his class in spelling, reading and maths but also has the social skills he never had before.

  3. sounds slow not autism

  4. It actually sounds more like Asperger's Syndrome to me. I'd say it's definitely a pervasive developmental disorder and he should be screened.

  5. Although children develop at various rates, they all should reach certain milestones in how they play, learn, speak and act. There is great information about developmental milestones for 3 year olds on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website:

    http://www.cdc.gov/ncbddd/autism/ActEarl...

It's wise to get him evaluated so that he can help as soon as possible.

  6. Autism is a spectrum with many different characteristics.  Kids with autism may have a few of the characteristics or a lot of them.  So, each child with autism is very different.

While he is exhibiting some of the characteristics, it doesn't mean he has autism.  Only a Dr. can make that diagnosis.

  7. yeah  he  does

  8. Yeah.

  9. Autism is way over-diagnosed.

He sounds like an average teenager.

  10. I would do some research on this and have him evaluated by a professional. its hard to say whether its the way he is or if his environment has something to do with it.

this is the best site for information:

  11. Possibly

  12. sounds like classic autism, he should be screen ASAP!!!  there are many different treatments for this, it works best if you start early!

  13. These a very classic signs of autism. I'm sorry to be as negative. It's very hard to think of the prospects that your child could have autism, but there a special diets that can help with the symptoms of autism, and there are many support groups out there. You are not alone.

  14. it is impossible to say without seeing the context or way he does the things you describe. It does sound like he is delayed and needs to be taken to a Pediatrician or G.P., they will refer him to the relevant professionals.
