Does this look like a basset hound?(pic)?

one of my kids had to draw a still life of a living thing and chose a dog, i think its really good but thats my job lol well here it is:

I think it looks like a basset hound.  How old was the child that drew it?  It's very nice, all the way down to the whiskers.

HAHAHAHA yes it looks like a basset and a cute one!

If possible, have them lengthen the lips another half inch or so. Other then that its really good!
