  1. OK, the mini cages are designed as a carrying cage, not a full-time  house=]  so, thats out...the primary home is an excellent choice... crittertril is a good band BUT the water bottle are c**p, they need to be capped off by using an Xacto knife to cut 1cm below the bulge, and it needs to be placed in the water bottle hole.... just get a regular hang-on-the-side bottle =]

  2. cage number 2!!! it looks cool

  3. Yea it does look like its a great cage for a hamster, but i say that it should be a little bith bigger because then it's going to feel too trapped inside.

  4. yes it looks gr8 but remember that this cage iz meant for dwarf hamsterz-f you have a HAMSTER-hamster, maybe a biger cage will work out better. Good luck!

  5. if ur only getting one DWARF hamster then definetely yes. i have that one and it works fine and my winter white hammie luvs it!!! i bought some extension tubes tho because my hammie is very active and loves climbing up tubes!!!

  6. It looks kind of small.

  7. The second cage looks a lot better than the first although plastic cages are easy to stain and easy to crack. I suggest a more simple cage with a base and metal bars all around. It would be good to buy your own separate wheel and house-area, as wheels can be noisy at night (when hamsters are most active). A very simple house/sleeping quarter for your hamster should be small, simple, and cozy. Don't buy wood bedding.

I don't think your hamster will be able to get out of that cage but  dwarf hamster can squeeze very easily. Don't take any chances because a loose hamster can wreak lots of damage on wood, clothes, and anything to chew on.

  8. The minimum space for a hamster is 16"X12", but I don't follow that. Online, that cage looks good but outside, it's TINY. It's about as big as a tissue box..literally.

For a roborovski or campbells, that's okay, but not for a syrian.

The second cage is A LOT better. As long as the cage wires are 1 cm or less, you are fine.

  9. that cage is pretty small. and you just said hamster not dwarf hamster, if its a syrian (regular) hamster then that cage is very small. this cage is a bit bigger and has a second level to roam to.

and you can add all the tube and crittertrail expansion things you want.

  10. thats a nice cage but those cages are small and you might either make sure its a dwarf hamster or buy some tubes extra so he has some room to explore hamsters like to explorer a lot its in there nature.

  11. if i were you i would get an aquarium instead.  with a cage bedding gets kicked. also because cages are plastic hamsters will chew through it.  an aquarium gets eliminates those problems. and an aquarium is cheaper ($10).

  12. I kept 1 chinese dwarf hammie in it. Even with a baby Syrian hamster, he wouldn't fit and could barely walk around in it. (& they're big enough to push the water bottle out & climb out the hole. -_-) Go with a my first home cage. The others are cheap & the critter trails have too many ways to escape.

  13. No I don't think your hamster will be able to get out of that cage.  I have one for my two hamsters made by the same company and it works pretty well.  It looks like a good cage, but you may want to get a dwarf hamster since the cage is a little small for a regular one... but even if you go with a regular hamster the cage should work fine.

Good luck!  You'll love your hamster!

  14. Yeah,that's fine.

Just be sure not to leave the cage open

and make sure that those little circles

for the tubes[you can buy extra tubes

and put them there] are tight and secure.

    Good luck with your hamster.

  15. I think it looks pretty good.

It's big and I doubt the hampster could get out.

It must be good, because it has four stars.

Check the reader reviews and see if anyone had problems with it or something.

  16. i had the same one. make sure your getting the dwarf hamsters because that cage is really small. you can get that cage if youre planning on getting a baby hamster but you will have to buy another one when it starts to grow.
