Does this look like a good computer kit???

Question

My Dad wants me to build a computer for both of us to use. I've never built a computer before and want to know if this would be a easy kit. (im thinking about getting the level 1 gaming kit)

ill probably use it for gaming since we already have 2 computers to do school work and stuff like that. oh and ill be putting knoppix as one of the two operating systems

If you want to play around building computers-OK. But a couple of things are not to good,especially if you want to upgrade later. I would think about buying a better one or buy other parts-but that will cost more.

PSU to weak-380 Watts-no good if you want to upgrade later.

On board Video card ?For a gaming rig you need a better one.

DVD-ROM that is NOT a burner! Read Only!

Asus main board-but bottom of the line?

Ram OK-would increase to 3GB later.

I hope you realize that building your own computer will cost you more than buying one.

The level 1 kit isn't very good for gaming. It only has 2GB of slow RAM, and it has integrated graphics, which aren't very good.  I wouldn't buy from there. Even their gaming kit isn't very good. If you want a halfway decent gaming PC, you'll need to spend some more money, about $650, try this-
