The pearl is a good beginner set for a good price. The Tama set is not a good set sorry but if you are going to use it as a beginning set for a little wile I would go w/ that one bc you get more stuff w/ it.

i own the tama set

it is a good set but if you have a music and arts near by it is cheaper
