  1. If your baby has been hot and sweaty, there is a good chance that it is heat rash. The best thing for heat rash is keeping your baby cool and dry. Do NOT apply ointments, creams, etc... these only make it worse.

  2. OK don't freak out. Until I saw the last picture I was going to say that it looked just like heat rash but the last one, the spots are just a tad bigger. I'd suggest leaving your baby in cool clothes or just his nappy and check again in an hour. If they're worse, get it checked out.

  3. Ahhhh cute little baby back.  It could be. Has he been wearing lot's of clothes? Detergent or any cream that could be suspicious? Anytime my daughter gets a rash I would use Aveeno baby CREAM, not the lotion. My Ped said never to use lotions on baby. I wouldn't worry too much unless he seems in distress, rashes are never a huge cause for concern.

  4. It could be anything from heat rash to eczema. Don't freak out! Just bring baby to the doctor so they can recommend the proper topical ointment, many are available at the drug store over the counter. Keep diaper changes frequent and clothing light and breathable. This should clear up in a few days!

  5. It does, but as some said some of the bumps are a little bigger than usual for heat rash. Give baby an oatmeal bath (aveeno) - which is very soothing. Let it air out - keep baby comfortable with cotton clothing.

If more develops, take baby in. If it lasts longer than 1-2 days without improvement, take baby in to get checked too.

Only use natural soaps and detergents.

  6. i would suggest taking your baby to the ped because it could be a virus, when babies get viruses they also get rashes SIMILAR to those my baby had viral rashes when he caught a the stomach virus a month a go, just to make sure go to your ped.

  7. yes it looks like a rash if your that worried take them to the ER if not try the glass test push a glass gently onto it and see if it fades if it doesnt it could be serious my baby got lots of rashes like that but they were just heat rashes or a little virus or the hormones from me still passing out of her which can cause those sort of spots just keep an eye on it

  8. My 3 month Daughter suffers from both heat rash and eczema and it doesn't look like either of those to me. Is it some time of reaction to something new? Have you washed their clothes in something new maybe? Or are they on any meds?

If the baby is otherwise well and is feeding then I am sure it isn't anything to worry about but if I was you, I would call my Doctor and just get it checked out to be on the safe side.

    Hope baby feels better soon!

  9. To me, it looks like heat rash. Of course, your pediatrician would be your best place to go for a positive answer.  Your babies skin will probably clear right up, so no worries.  If it was my baby, I wouldn't worry about it unless it got worse and my baby seemed frustrated by it.

You can google, 'prickly heat' and find some helpful advice on what to do to make it better.

    Good luck.

  10. That does NOT look like a heat rash to me.

Any time that a child 3 months or younger has a problem, it is recommended that you see a doctor.   Since it's the weekend, I would encourage you to take your child to the nearest 24 hour clinic or Emergency Room just to let a physician check him/her out.

It's always best to err on the side of caution when it comes to precious children!

Hope your baby gets well soon!
