Question:

Does this look like something I need to see the dentist/oral surgeon for again as another post-op?

I've had a re-opening of an extraction site last week on Tuesday (22nd). They opened it back up to clear out some scar tissues and also to properly re-heal the area (I was told that there was a tiny hole on the top where the socket was).

Notice the red spots. The white seems normal. I had those last week, but didn't notice those red spots. The stitches are dissolving kind. I've been rinsing with salt water from day after surgery until Sunday. I stopped as of yesterday morning.

Here are the pictures. Professional and knowledgeable input only please. Thanks in advance.

  1. it looks like its healing nicely but you need to stop poking and bothering the site or it will get infected.

  2. You look good, it's just mouth sores where so much has been done. Keep up with the salt water and try peroxide.
