ok, I work for a bakery cafe in MA. if you've heard of it, it's called Panera Bread. aside from one of the managers, i have the highest education in culinary arts with a diploma from the finest vocational school in the state. I'm also one of only about 5 out of about 20 non-cashiers that speaks, reads, and understands english perfectly. I also have the most experience with the exception of that manager who graduated Johnson and Whales. I'm also the one doing dishes. they also treat both of us like c**p. wouldn't it make more sense to treat the only 2 people who ACTUALLY know what they're doing with respect?

  1. Get another job.

  2. welcome to the real world. you'll have to understand that your beneath them, and thats all they see.

  3. ya it would, you should like write a letter to him saying that you want to be treated with more respect or like just show him what you can do

  4. Tolerance is not always suitable. Sure there is some one who would understand your talent. If you cannot negotiate with the rest, then i suggest that find another job. When you are not available the rest will feel your value.

Please don't live in an unfulfilling life, it's pointless. Why spend your life in misery when you can do more, when you deserve more!

So make a difference, are you going to spend the rest of you life like this?

If the events which happen to you are not satisfying then create you own. Don't let others treat you like c**p, and please don't treat others like c**p too.

Here are some articles that will give you much more awareness to make a decision and take action. They helped me a lot hope they will do you the same :-)

  5. Get another job. Actually Panera bread tastes awful anyway....their bread has a weird flavor and tastes stale and hard. Don't waste your time washing dishes in a place that doesn't serve c**p to its customers. And you don't want to move up in a place that treats its employees like c**p. Find an entry-level job at a place where moving up and staying there will be worth it.

  6. what doesn't make sense is why you are still working there. check out flipdog or monster.com

  7. You are being taken for granted from what it sounds like.  I would shop for another job.  How long have you worked there?  I wouldnt quit just yet, make sure you land another job first, but from the way you put it, your skills deserve to be used somewhere else.  If you are new, you have to remember that everyone has to pay dues.  If you are paying more than what you owe, I would look for a more professional enviroment to put your culinary skills to work.  Maybe you should ask to bake or cook.  The squeeky wheel gets oiled.  I would ask first (respectfully) and if they give you the run around I would look for another job while I still worked there.

  8. real life, as i have learned recently, is all about the one who actually DESERVES it doesn't and the one who doesn't DOES.
