for a while now i have had a skin condition that iam waiting to get resolved that iam very anxious about.

the first dermatologist was very dismissive, told me it was nothing and to go away and stop worrying, so i complained and got a second opinion..

ive seen the second opinion dermatologist who looked at it and said ' she didnt think ' it was a skin disorder, but i should use simple emoliants and it might reduce over time.

meanwhile she arranged for me to have photos taken of it to be sent away for further advice on what to use to treat it........the photos have been sent but ive been told it will take a while to hear back.

i was full of anxiety that day as i suffer from ptsd and very bad anxiety, so i forgot to tell her somethings..

forgot to tell her i have had skin problems on other areas of my body before like atheletes foot........she asked me this about a history of other skin problems..

also where i have the present skin problem, i sweat a lot down there, and itch at times........i have a follow up appointment where i plan to tell her this.

the present problem i have is that the skin covering the head of my p***s is all cracked, like tears in the skin.......broken skin that covers the area.......its not sore or bleeding.

the sexual health clinic did all tests they said they didnt find anything, and said the cracked skin was ' normal ' - which stuck me as outrageous they would say that.

the present dermatologist admits the skin is all cracked and broken but doesnt think its a skin disorder and to use simple emolients.

its for vanity reasons im worried as i know not many other males have this problem with their genitals........it concerns me about how it looks.......because it doesnt have a smooth appearence like other guys i learn about..

until this is resolved i will feel great anxiety about what it is ?....can it be cleared etc ?

my life is already very tough because i have bpd and ptsd, live alone...get lonely.....never built any relationships....suffered a hard life etc.

what will i do ? does this condition or whatever make me an inadequete male ?

  1. It is a person's choices in life that determine whether or not they are inadequate!?!?  Inadequate for what?

  2. Wow! well done for getting a second opinion, it isn't easy when its something as sensitive as this. I'm not sure what BPD or PTSD is so i'll just answer the question and make some suggestions.

No, none of this makes you inadequate! Everyone has "things" going on in their life and it's about enjoying the good things and not dwelling and the not so good.

Can i suggest the old fashioned route of making friends and building relationships by finding a club or group to join who share similar interests, a part time/occasional job maybe? everyone needs a friend. x

  3. you sound like you may have systemic thrush, and an intolerance to yeast..google it, and u will get loads of info.

  4. aaa

  5. Keep going back to see gp - no it isn't how it should be - it wouldn't be right if a woman had this.  Dint be fobbed off keep pursuing until this is sorted.  I suffer with anxiety problems too.
