Question:

Does this make sense? I asked yesterday, but removed it due to the phrasing of my question.?

Drip,

Drip,

The dull drool

That drowns out the day.

A dacapo of the dampness

That dances

Like a dart

To the dale of decay.

Lich,

Lich,

Lifeless limb

Lackadaisically lies.

A lachrymose of the languid

That laughs

Darting loose

To the lake’s Lorelei.

(This was a practice in alliteration; I just wanted to try and capture a mood merely with sound but it does have a theme. Your thoughts please.)

  1. Fun to read. I like poetry that engages the senses, and since poems are songs waiting to be set to music, this one engages the sense of sound (alliteration unintentional here, but see, it's contagious)!

  2. Great use of alliteration that is definitely fun to read, but paints an extremely dark image.  Great job.

  3. i like reading it out loud...great choice in letters...

  4. What a wonderful game of sounds!! Thank you so much for making me so delighted! I am reading it so loud...and the 'd' and 'L' are having fun in my tongue. Really beautiful.

  5. Silly light hearted sense, yes!

  6. I think you perfected.  Fun to read out loud.
