I got a blood test today they said it was normal.

It was 90

I did not eat all day B/c i woke up at 3pm and had the test done at 5pm

Could it give me a false reading saying that i dont have it just becuase i havent eaten all day? Or would it still show up.

I am a hyprocondrac with lots of anxiety thats the reason i got tested just to make sure.

  1. Fasting actually tends to cause your blood level to spike higher.  You should jump for joy at a reading of 90 after fasting.  Congratulations.  I get excited when my drops in 90's but it only tends to do that after a good work out.  My blood sugar level in the morning which is considered fasting is always in the 140's and I am diabetic.

    Again, Congratulations.

  2. Actually that is good, when you go for a blood glucose test you should fast to get an accurate reading.

If this result would have been above 126 then they would do another fasting glucose test to see if they get a similar result.

But, you have nothing to worry about, your blood sugar is well within the normal range.
