Question:

Does this mean my milk is getting low???

the past few days i havent been putting my daughter on the breast as i have been very sick so i have been expressing as much as i can , now my b***s are falling out of my bra !!! which i have been wearing the same size for ages now ..

yes they even look smaller so does this mean that my milk is getting low???

  1. It is hard to pump as efficiently as your baby nurses. So your supply may have temporarily dropped some, also the stress of being sick can do it to you. As soon as you are well enough, put the baby back to breast and continue to pump a little to help bring your supply back. And feel better soon!


  2. I was led to beleive that as long as your body is ridding itself of the milk whether by expressing or putting the child on to feed then you will keep producing milk. I breastfed my son and at times had to express due to illness the same would happen then when i was better i put him back on the breast and things started functioning as usual. I was lucky to have alot of milk and fed for over a year, yet i know other people whose supply did dry up even though they were still feeding.
