I started my daughter on baby food about a week ago and The first kind I feed her was Carrots and I did those for 3 days and she did great with it. Now yesterday I gave her banana's and both yesterday and today for dinner when she eats it she cries. I try to keep making sounds and just doing different things to get her interested in it but I dont think its working. I am trying to keep her on it another day or so to make sure there are no allergies to it but I feel so bad feeding it to her. Do you think they she just don't like it? What should I do? Give it to her another day for the allergy purposes or should I just move on to another kind? If I was to move on should I never feed that to her again or maybe just wait a while and try it again? Any advice will help Im unsure what to do here

  1. Have you went through all your veggies, you need to do that before you start fruits. There may be some things they dont like then just forget it and move on. Bananas also can constipate so they could be hurting her stomach.

  2. It takes many times before a baby gets used to something, I would try it again for allergie purposes and to get her used to them. My LO didnt like sweet potatoes the 1st couple of tries, but I tried it again and on the 3rd day, she ate the whole serving without any issues. If your baby still acts that way after trying 2 more times, I would say she isnt a fan of the banana. Also maybe try mixing it with another fruit , like applsesauce or pears. Also if its jarred, try mashing your own bananas. My LO loves the real food more then the jarred now, I make all my own baby food. Good Luck.

  3. I would give her carrots tomorrow since you know that she likes them. Then go on to another food. Wait about two weeks then try bananas again. Also, my son hated baby food bananas but love the actual thing.

  4. Jennifer has nailed it on the head...I like her answer...

  5. "..but I feel so bad feeding it to her."

Then you already know your answer! If it feels bad, stop doing it!

Motherly intuition is rarely wrong. If you feel bad to feel her bananas, then chances are - she most likely doesn't like them.

So feed her another fruit. Mash up seedless sweet grapes, puree' different fruits, etc. If she's crying and not eating a fruit or veggie, she doesn't like it! So try another. =)

    Good luck <3
