Does this mean the USPS lost my package?????

Question

I mailed it 3-5 day mail and I've been checking the website everyday and it is almost 3 weeks later and this is the message when I type in my tracking number.

Status: Processed

Your item was processed and left our SANTA CLARITA, CA 91383 facility on August 4, 2008. No further information is available for this item.

Sounds like it to me. The USPS has it somewhere and does not know where. Contact your seller if buying or your buyer if selling. If bought from on-line store or eBay contact seller now. Usual shipping time should be no more than 14 days if coming from overseas. Once you have a tracking number.

Tell the seller you have not received it. Either they can give you a refund or ship you out a new product. If paid by credit card or debit card contact them about unreceived item.

The seller is responsible for tracing the package and collecting insurance if product is not received.

I purchased something off an auction site from america and i keep getting the same msg for ages... i received my package though. those tracking numbers are hopeless

It might still be in customs getting checked

it's possible, but do call the post office for help.........looks like you have to file for a lost shipment :(
