    The link above describes what a PDA is and what it does.  The iPhone does of all these and more.  

    A couple of the new features like being able to sync with Microsoft Outlook and Enterprise are a big plus in the corporate world of people who rely heavily on PDA's.  That was the whole point of Apple including this functionality in the iPhone; to attract new corporate users.
