Does this outfit look okay?

Question

I am due in October, and I have all of the things I need put together, but I wanted to know if this outfit looked Okay to take a baby home in. My doctor said that the baby will weigh around 6-7 pounds and we live in Philadelphia, so it may be a little chilly. I don't want her to be cold, but I don't want to over-dress her neither.Does this outfit look like it's okay for her to wear home?

It's pretty, but you'd better get a preemie outfit for a 6-7 pound baby.

That will be just fine.  Bring some blankets to tuck her in after she's in her carseat.  Congratulations!!

Totally cute and appropriate.  One thing though, you might find it easier to have a top that you don't have to put over her head, maybe one that snaps down the front or side...

my son was born in january and we bought this for the infant carrier.  it is AWESOME, they can be dressed in almost aything and still be really warm!  i would suggest one if you haven't bought one yet

It's cute, but you may want something with long sleeves and attached mittens or the fold-over mittens.  Remember she has been all warm and cozy in your belley, short sleeves might be a cool for her.  Her nails might be long, and they don't always clip them at the hospital.  You also want to make sure it's something that is easy to change her diaper.  You don't want to have to struggle every time you change her diaper, and you will change it a lot!! I might suggest a cute gown type of outfit and socks.  

On a side note........You probably wont even see the outfit that much, b/c she will be all bundled up in the car seat.  I will tell you this though, I brought a cute little outfit to my little one too, but we were so ready to get home and he was sleeping and we didn't want to wake him up just to change him so we left him in his hospital outfit.  We just changed him when we got home after he woke up.

Yes it does -- i had a similar one for my son. However one thing I didn't like was the pants -- they don't have the snaps for easy diaper changes and it was quite a pain changing him - i kept feeling like I was bothering him. I would suggest just getting a sleeper (they make the orgnaic cotton ones -- same line as the outfit you chose). Congrats and good Luck!

Aw, it's just cute and it looks comfortable, just being along with the outfit a little sweater for the baby.It makes me yearn for a girl!

Too cute!  Just be sure to bring some blankets for her in case it's chilly.  She should be fine.
