"Possessed"

I impulse bought

cherry chapstick.

Does it mean anything;

do you care?

Home,

where the heart is.

My heart

is with you,

across miles.

My bed aches;

you don't lie beside

but beneath,

rising to swallow me,

to save me.

Night into dark night,

soul into scarred soul,

heart into warm hand.

May I never heal from you.

  1. You could try inserting an exorcist in the poem and then read both of them to decide which one you like the most... i love this poem by the way:)

  2. The power of christ compells you!!!

  3. Eva,

    This part is especially beautiful:

    Night into dark night,

    soul into scarred soul,

    heart into warm hand.

  4. Mmm. Cherry chapstick eh?

    Yes, it means a lot. I wouldn't or couldn't choose to do anything else than care unconditionally.

    This poem is beautiful dear.

    My favorite part of this is

    "Home,

    where the heart is.

    My heart

    is with you,

    across miles."

    Because that is how I feel in words, at least partially.

    May I never heal from you either. May it only get worse. *Wink*

    I shall live under you bed with the dust bunnies and share my security blanket with them. : ) . You are of course welcome to join me and the dust bunnies there. : ) . Love your writing. Awesome Possum Job. *Gives you a BIG thumbs up!*

  5. Naa Naa Naa think you don't have to worry about the exorcist, unless the bed is flapping around!  The poem is a nice read though, enjoyed it , the first part of the poem kind of threw me for a second and didn't see the connection to the rest of it! Still it was enjoyable!  Cheers!

  6. Your last stanza is amazing, amazing, amazing!
