  1. You're fairly nearsighted and have a small amount of astigmatism. Certainly strong enough were you need to wear them all the time. In a couple of more years you may be eligible for corrective surgery. Start saving now if you want it. Most insurances won't cover it.

Don't bother with the +1.00 readers. At your age, you can accommodate for near with your glasses on, although you don't necessarily need them for reading. You won't need to worry about reading correction for another 22 years or so.

Funny how you say you "suffer" from astigmatism. It's just the shape of your eye that requires additional curvature in your lenses to focus light properly. It's not a disease.   :)

  2. It's alright. Kinda' in between.

  3. Here's the breakdown:  For each -0.25 in your prescription, that means your vision is reduced by one line on the vision chart.  So in your OD (right eye), your vision is reduced by 11 lines and you OS (left eye) is reduced by 13 lines approximately.  You are blurrier than the big E on the chart. more so left than right eye. The cyl is your astigmatism....very minor in your case. Your nearsightedness is considered mild on the scale of myopia so do not worry too much.  Also remove your glasses with near work to decrease over-focusing your eyes.  Or if you wear contacts, pop on some +1.00 readers doing near work.  Research always ongoing as to whether extended near work increases the rate of myopia progression.  Hope this helps and good luck!

  4. Prescriptions are not considered "good", "bad" or "ok".  They are what they are.

You have mild myopia and mild astigmatism and likely need to wear glasses or contacts for most activities that  involve seeing clearly beyond about 2 feet.

Whether you think that is ok or bad is your personal preference.

  5. Well i have astigmatism myself. From what i understand your left eye seems worse then your right, but it isn't nothing to worry about for the moment. Depending on your age your vision will worsen until you reach 21. Then your shortsightedness will stop worsening
