Does this prove that the west is way better than the east?

the pens still haven't scored on the wings...does this prove that the west is way better than the east? the west have all the best defenders which is way the pens scored all those goals because the east is weak! even the preds put up a better fight than the pens i guess this means if the pens were in the east they would be worst than the preds!

As one of those die-hard Wings fans, I want to say yes.  For me, the Colorado vs. Detroit and Dallas vs. Detroit were a lot more exiciting than the finals have been so far.   I can't really fault the East, but I've always liked watching the Western Conference games better.

to answer ur Q, no it doesnt. just that the pens were not prepared for the wings.

i think this is a fault in the regular season system. each team plays only about 10 teams from the opposite conference, once. that is not enough. a team can become completely familiar with other teams in the same conference, and because they are expecting each other, it is a good showdown. however, in the finals, it is from the opposite conference, and teams dont know each other. the determining factor is pretty much who can pull it off guessing. not too exciting.

I think it's pretty evident the West is by far superior.  The west has had to deal with the wings style of play for so long, the East just doesn't know, kind of like the Pens fans.

Avs Man, just like the Pens, just don't get it. How is it that the Pens aren't familiar with the Wings? Lame excuse because they don't play each other in the reg season. Do the Pens play on Antarctica or something?

it doesn't prove it emphatically. but it definitely adds more fuel to the fire. especially after last year's result also.

Dallas and Anaheim would be up 2-0 on Pittsburgh also.

I think it just proves that the Wings are the deepest team in the league, and the most defensive-minded. Two of Detroit players are Selke finalists and one is a Norris finalists (and 5 time Norris winner)
