Does this qualify as a lemon under Tx Lemon Law?

We bought a new 2008 Dodge Avenger back in May. A month ago it broke down. It has been in the shop ever since. They are currently replacing the transmission, they have already replaced two other major parts (not for sure what). It is being serviced at the place we bought it and they are horrible (no calls about it and will never give us an answer). My question is what has to happen for it to be declared a lemon. Once we get the car back does one more thing have to go wrong? Thanks

  1. There's a time factor as well as the number of events. 30 days may be the limit. You can call the State Attorney and ask them. They know.


  2. Generally, it has to be a case where there is a particular problem and the dealer is unable to fix that problem after a number of attempts. It's not clear in your case if this is a Lemon Law situation. Here's a couple of sites that may of interest:
