Does this really make me a w***e?

Question

I understand that it against the grain to have a child out of wedlock but why does that make me a w***e? Why do most people assume that I chose to have a child and not get married. Yes i get that i had s*x and that is a consequence of it but i was on birth control and was actually told by me doctor the chances of me conceiving were close to none! I chose to have my son instead of an abortion because i made my bed and i had to lay in it. I took on the responsibility of a child at the age of 19! My sons father and i are still together and not married (not by my choice). So i guess my question is do most people assume that i am easy or whatever just because i have a child and am not married or is it just a select few? I posted a question as to how long i should wait for my bf to ask me to marry him before i move on we have been together 5yrs and have a 4yr old son together and most people responded with some bitchy comment about how it is my own fault because i decided to have a baby. It was freakin an act of god! cut me some slack

That doesn't make you a w***e, it makes you a real woman.  You took responsibility for your actions.  That's a rare thing these days.  Your kid's going to have a good role model.

i got pregnant and married soon after,

but not because of the baby or the fear of being called a w***e.

We got married because WE LOVE EACH OTHER.

thats what its really all about.

Give it 2 more years and you will be automatically married, it's called common law marriage. My opinion of a w***e is someone who sleeps around with multiple partners without any feelings other than lust. Or anyone in politics or the pron industry.

No you are not a w***e! the definition of a w***e is 1: a woman who engages in sexual acts for money : prostitute; also : a promiscuous or immoral woman...and that doesn't define you..I just had a baby with my bf and I'm 20 and not married we've been together for 3yrs , we love each other we didn't mean for it to happen but we took responsibility for our action unlike other females who are cowards and have abortions...don't listen to anyone they're just ignorant.. I love my daughter and she was made with a lot of love married or not married, don't worry about what others say, I know its hard but thats what make us strong the fact that we took the responsibility and didn't kill our baby which I personally think is a bigger sin then having s*x unmarried.

Personally you took responsibilityyof yourur own actions as a grown woman. This does not make a w***e. If your boyfriend don't ask you for marriage it is ok. Marriage is a commitment. If you are not sure about it don't do it. Just be a good mother and a good girlfriend and good will also come to your life.

Try your best to ignore those idiots who make stupid comments and value judgments like that. Calling a woman a "w***e" for having a baby and not being married is misogynistic thinking that should have been left back in the 19th century. Derogatorily calling a woman a "w***e" in any context is uncivilised and crass. Don't "dignify" their comments with a response. Those knuckle-dragging neanderthals don't deserve any of your attention.
