  1. you really need to strech your calf area if what to jump higher, but streching your hamstrings wont hurt either

  2. yea but you have to do the right height or you willl like swing your hand and then you will like miss it haha i have done that haha

  3. Well as a volleyball player (0h~8 0h~9 babii!) i was going to try out for cheerleading but realized that would be the biggest mistake!! lol but my uncle's girl friend is a cherleader(they are in high school!) and she told me to do leap frogs to get my toe touch higher so of course it will help in volleyball. A leap frog is where you start in a squatting postiton and jump staight up and do a toe touch. sounds easy but omg it streches my legs soo good! hope i helped! goood luck in volleyball!

  4. It will, but very very slowly, you will notice almost no imporvement if you keep it that way because your muscles are not getting pushed to improve. By the way, stretching is not exercise and therefore will not improve muscle strength, stretching simply relaxes the muscles to avoid injury and enable you to perform better (nothing else). You need to really work those muscles till you feel the burn because that means that you are stressing you muscles to work and that is the only way they will improve. If you only do light workouts that your body can handle, Your muscles will not improve because they don't need to but if you push yourself, your muscles will start progressing so that they can be able to handle the stress you are placing yourself. To improve you jumping ability the best bet is to go for plyometric exercises, a few recommendations that I would make are:

bounding over 30-40 meters doing 3 sets

and then 2 sets of 10minute skipping

and then there is holding 2 dumbells in your hands and jumping as high and as fast as you can. Do 3 sets of 10 jumps

Don't push youself too hard but make sure you do feel a burn in the end.

  5. yes it worked for me

But do not over due it

My friend was one the same team as me and pulled a musle by that

  6. Practice on a trampoline..get the feel..JUMP!!!

  7. yes it really works.

  8. That did not sound like stretching rather than just working each mussel individually.

Do deep swat jumps over and over (thy and calf), put just your toes on the edge of a step ( the bottom) and raise up and down as may times as you can (calf).

Volleyball you may also want to do burpies.

    Stand

    jump

    squat

    push up

    squat

repeat (fast as you can no pause between positions)

  9. ya... it takes practice to jump high

  10. No, stretching your hammys alone will NOT do what you are looking to do.  It may help a bit but there are specific tricks you need to know to increase your vertical to the point you are looking for.

There is a great free resource at http://www.verticaljumpexplosion.com

Where they give you a free course on increasing your vertical.
