Does this seem like an okay cover story?

We're going out for my friend's 21st tomorrow, and her mum & dad have arranged a surprise limo.

We're getting the train into town, and she wanted to get the train at 8.45, (which is also when the limo is picking us up) so her mum had asked me to stall her until it comes (she lives in her own flat just in case I've confused you slightly)

I tend to panic at these things, and didn't want to be flapping about tomorrow as she would sus me out that something was going down.

So anyway, I have told her that my dad is going to take us up in a mini-bus - (quite believable?) and that means that we will have to wait in her flat until "he" gets there.

Anyway, here's my thing - obv her mum & dad have organised it, and I don't want to steal as though I'm stealing their thunder, as obv, she'll find out I knew about it. Do you think she'll think I was just trying to get in on the action?

  1. Not at all. Im sure she will be really thankful for the effort everyone has made. You will have a great night! :D

  2. The key to fooling someone is not to go into too much detail and over-explain yourself. Just make sure to give credit to her parents and let her know you tried very hard to keep it a secret!
