Question:

Does this seem right to you?

As shown on CBS with Katie Couric this past week, 300,000 pregnant Mexican women cross the border to birth their babies, known as ‘anchor babies’, in American hospitals at an average cost of $6,000.00 per birth with no complications. If the child suffers heart defects, Downs Syndrome, Autism or any other problems, the costs jump to $500,000.00 with long term care into the millions of dollars. All footed by the America taxpayer!

  1. this does not seem right it sounds like money starved people are doing this

  2. 300,000 this week? That would be about 15 million pregnant Mexicans a year-a highly suspect figure.

While I'm dead set against illegal alien mothers having children here we need to fight it with new laws not inflated figures.

  3. Las personas buscan una mejor vida y por no fijar su propio país que ellos esperan que América hagalo para ellos. Yo lo odio.

Couldn't resist (link to translate if you need it).  It makes me mad too.

  4. No, it does not seem right to me. This type of fleecing of America has got to stop. These illegal aliens are no doubt spurred on by supporters here in the states. This has got to be extremely un-healthy for the un-born child as well as for the mother.

  5. Yes, the hardworking taxpaying immigrants included in those who are paying, who are too scared of Homeland Security to file for their refunds and earned income credits.

  6. That is correct.

    But never right.

    Not ever.

  7. Seems pretty stupid

  8. No of course this doesn't seem right. It is very unfair because our taxes and bills are raised. But that's the way our system works. You have to help everyone else instead of people helping themselves. If our system was different this wouldn't be allowed, but that is how our system works and Mexicans will continue to leech off of it until they suck it dry.

  9. Yep, we need to do away with the anchor baby law the way the Europeans have.

  10. I'm not saying its right, but if you lived in Mexico you would probably do the same thing.  The hospitals here are disgusting.  I haven't even seen one yet that had air conditioning.  Healthcare is horrible.  They just want the best for their child.

  11. No it does not. And it isn't. That show was broadcast in April not last week. The rest of that is made up. Anyone interested can read transcripts of the actual broadcast. It is widely believed it was a last ditch effort to revive her sagging ratings, it didn't work.

  12. No it doesn't seem right. They aren't mine ( I don't think ) to support.

  13. well first at all 2/3 of those children who some call anchor babies are from mixed status families, second u mention Mexicans women which i do not get , i mean are they Mexican or undocumented oh and are they ALL really Mexican and if so why don't u care about all those who are from other countries since u don't give numbers about them ??? .

to answer ur question it does NOT seem right but the undocumented do actually pay A LOT into the system whether or not some want to accept that . what they pay goes beyond what they actually cost , if u want sources just go read the report about undocumented immigrants from Texas , it does include the real number , the real cost and everything u may need .

  14. No it isn't right. We need to do away with instant citizenship,it was never meant for illegals.

  15. We are having, at this point, a lot of trouble with the fake identifications the illegal aliens are using.  When we cure that problem, we will be able to move along, and establish the correct numbers, and I would guess that those numbers Katie Couric is using are going to be found to be.... low!

That money, by the way, is coming out of Social Security.  No I don't think it is right.  The Federal Government could do something about it.  Congress could do something about it.  They don't.. and the question a lot of people have is .... why?

If you don't like the numbers, write Congress.  http://www.congress.org

Make sure you include the State Officals in your letter because they have a great deal of power although no authority.  Their power may well rise significantly after the coming Constitutional Convention to boot!!

  16. I would be surprised if it were less than that.  Add the cast for feeding them via food stamps, schooling them, giving them free emergency room health care, welfare benefits may include housing benefits.

  17. No, it doesn't seem right.  I guess it depends on what a persons intentions are.  If a mother is truly in search of good healthcare and pays the bills, fine.  Although, I would like to see the 14th amendment clarified, and have citizenship granted only if at least 1 parent is a U.S. citizen.  If they would pass a law like that, then any bills left unpaid due to a birth of a child (of 2 parents not legally here) could go to the governments of their home countries.
