Question:

Does this sentence make sense?

I'm writing a narrative based on conflict for English...i'm only in 9th grade, so it's not amazingly important...but I was wondering if this makes sense, or if it just sounds..bad?

Every day I faced conflict...Mostly it was conflict between what is right, and what’s wrong. Should I tell my mother or the police? Should I just suck it up and deal with it? No matter what option I chose, I’d be hurting someone…and if I had to choose between hurting myself or my own mother, it would be me.

What i'm unsure of is whether or not conflict has to be between people, or if it can be between "right" and "wrong".

Thanks in advance. 10 points to best answer. =)

  1. It sounds OK to me.  You are dealing with what HAS happened and then considering what you should do about it IN THE FUTURE.  Conflict can be between people or things e.g. conflicting personalities, ideas, opinions, or stories.  Dictionary defines "conflict" as "as struggle between opposing forces (e.g. battle) ...opposition between ideas, interests etc"  What is "right or "wrong" can either be factual (by law) or moral (idea).
