  1. any major name brand of skateboards has good pop, dont listen to people when they say a certain board brand has good pop or not, you dont even have to go to your local skateshop or anything like that, as long as its a trusted name in the skateboard industry, then it has good pop. pretty much all new boards of any trusted name in the industry will have good pop. pretty much because all of them are made from the standard 7 ply maple and use the same glue and compressors. while some other brands claim to use different technology in their decks, they are all the same and that so called "technology" in the deck only affects the lightness of the board probably only by ounces at the most. the best thing that will determine a good pop in the board, is the strength of your ollies, and the size of the deck. if its a standard deck like most of the decks in the industry, and most importantly, the size of the deck, all you have to do is find your right size that your comfortable with doing ollies and other tricks on, basically any brand you see on a real skateboard site is good enough whether its popular or not. all the boards are the same, baker is the number one selling skateboard brand and character skateboards is one of the least popular. yet they are pretty much the same when it comes to sizes they use, the glue, compressors, and maple wood. that is why when a pro skater switches from a deck sponsor to another, its not a big deal because the boards are the same.

  2. you really cant tell anything by looking at a board,or trucks or even wheels.what kicks for me may be too stiff for you (im a speed merchant and like a heavy board) you need to try out some for your self, maybe a friend has somthing similar to what you want, remember graphics mean nothing, but the same company will be fairly consistant, even in wood.

  3. Don't judge a board on how it looks, try going to your local skate shop and get a feel for the boards there, make sure it feels right
