It's possible, but I think that all of the countries/unions involved there realize that a conflict involving all of them = no more human civilization, including themselves.

It will get ugly around the world for awhile. Now while these people want to blow up their enemies, they don't want themselves to be blown up. Then they can't purchase that yacht they wanted nor can they do their favorite hobby of ripping off the common people!

Pretty much. But the US and Europe need to find alternatives to oil to avoid this war. It seems this enemy is getting very strong and they're feeding off our thirst for oil.
