  1. There were 200 reported cases of MPD from 1880 to 1979, and 20,000 from 1980 to 1990. (MPD is the former name for DID)

More prevalent today than when? Definitely more now than in the 70's.

So in a span of 100 years there were only 200 cases, then in 10 years there were 20,000 cases. That is partly due to changes in diagnostic procedures (many were previously misdiagnosed as schizophrenics).

  2. Stfu, ask a doctor

  3. Yep, that's me. Somedays I am a nice guy. Other days I am a real AH. I guess I have this condition.

  4. Right I'm going back to the doctor on monday, as I told him what was wrong with me now I have proof.

  5. I wondered what was the problem with those legion guys who threaten every Tom, d**k and Harry on here. Now we all know. Thanks Michael for the info.

  6. Thats it! Its me!!

I'm now off to the Mental Health section, bet I'm a TC there in a week :)

  7. It's not more prevalent, however, the symptoms are.

Depression -  thanks to lack lustre government

    Mood swings - see above

    Suicidal tendencies - see above

Sleep disorders (insomnia, night terrors, and sleep walking) - caused by noisy neighbours/teenagers thanks to the above.

Anxiety, panic attacks, and phobias (flashbacks, reactions to stimuli or "triggers")  - caused by noisy neighbours/teenagers thanks to the above.

Alcohol and drug abuse  -  thanks to lack lustre government

Compulsions and rituals - caused by the lack of sleep and alcohol abuse

Psychotic-like symptoms (including auditory and visual hallucinations) - see compulsions

Eating disorders - with the amount of anti-smoking, anti-drinking, anti-drugs, what have we got left?

  8. Yes, most definitely. And as it's getting on for 9.00pm, I'm starting to tremble.....

Edit: One of our backwards chums posted a threat earlier - 9.00 is when 'the legion' will be attempting to intimidate the users on their little list.

Edit II: Oops (now where have I seen that before?), I made a mistake, the 'threat' was from one of our blue colleagues... http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/ind...
