Does this sound like I'm ovulating?

Yesterday lunch time, I got a positive ovulation test and last night I was spotting a bit, but I tried to conceive. Then all day today, I've had a pressurized ache in my lower stomach on each side where my ovaries are. But more on my right side. Could I be ovulating today?

  1. The only way to know for sure that your ovulating is to chart your basal body temps. A rise in temps shows ovulation occurred. A positive OPK is just a surge and even women who don't ovulate can have a + OPK.

  2. You usually ovulate within 14-34 hours after the ovulation test first becomes positive.

Making sure that you ovulate and exactly when you ovulate likely improves your chances getting pregnant.

There are several ways to find out if and when you ovulate:

    Temperature charting

    Cervical mucus

    Mittelschmerz
